Proportionality of punishment as a way of protecting from encroachment on natural resources

This article investigates the issues of countering encroachments on natural resources. The article proves the increased danger of environmental crimes, postulates the insufficiency of criminal law protection of environmental relations. The author argues the need to change the category of environmental crimes and bring the severity of punishment into line with the degree of public danger of encroachment on the natural environment.
