The oil flax variety Sapfir

The oil flax variety Sapfir was developed by a method of individual selection from the hybrid population of the 3rd generation from crosses of breeding lines 36495 and 36338. A new variety of oil flax Sapfir is characterized with simultaneous flowering and maturity, high resistance to fusarium. It differs with higher oil content - up to 3.5-4.3% from the standard variety Severny, the duration of the vegetative period is less on 3-5 days. The oil flax variety Sapfir was submitted to the State variety trials in 2015, it is recommended for trial in the Western Siberian region.
