Oil flax variety Barkhan

The variety Barkhan was obtained in 20122022 by multiple individual selections from oil flax line K 4026 on the selection backgrounds of natural and artificial drought. The new variety of oil flax Barkhan is characterized by uniform flowering and ripening, high drought resistance, and non-lodging, its plant height is up to 60 cm and its seeds have high oil content - over 48.4%, which is 1.70% higher than in the standard variety FLIZ, which allows using it as a variety of dual purpose - for oil and fiber. The oil flax variety Barkhan has been submitted for State trial in 2022.
