A variety RFN was developed in 2010-2016 by a method of multiple individual selections from the variety Rucheek in conditions of long day selection at summer (June) sowing. The new variety of oil flax RFN is characterized with simultaneous flowering and maturing, high resistance to lodging, plant height (more than 70 cm) and high oil content in seeds (more than 49.2%, this is 3.6% higher than the standard variety VNIIMK 620 has). All this allows using it as a variety of double direction - to produce oil and fiber. The oil flax variety RFN was introduced into the State variety trial in 2016.
