An oil flax variety VNIIMK 620 FN was developed in 2012-2017 by a method of multiple individual selections from the variety VNIIMK 620 in conditions of long day selection at summer (June) sowing. The new variety of oil flax VNIIMK 620 FN is characterized by simultaneous flowering and ripening, high resistance to lodging and possesses good adaptability to the mechanized harvesting. The average plant height is 62 cm; oil content in seeds is up to 46.9 %. Yield of the new variety exceeds the standard variety VNIIMK 620, on average, by 0.24 t per ha. It is characterized by high resistance to fusariose - 92.7 %. It has a reduced reaction to changes in day length. The oil flax variety VNIIMK 620 FN was submitted to the State variety testing in 2017 in the Northern-Western, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, Middle Volga, Low Volga, Ural and West Siberian regions.
