The oil flax variety Y 117

The variety of oil flax Y 117 is developed by the method of individual selection from the line k-4164 on the infected field after 3-year of flax continuous cropping. We assessed on resistance to Fusarium wilt in epicenters of fusariosis infection and on resistance to a flax sickness of soil under a flax continuous cropping. Due to a test of cultivars in 2016-2017, the cultivar Y 117 exceeded a standard cultivar VNIIMK 620 on productivity by 1.44 t per ha in the same field. Height of plants is 80-90 cm. Vegetative period is 80-90 days. Weight is 1000 seeds is equal to 5.0-5.5 g. Coloring of seeds is yellow. Oil content is 42% with the lowered maintenance of linolenic acid content (26%). The cultivar Y 117 has the complete resistance to a flax sickness of soil and high field resistance to Fusarium wilt that allows to cultivate it in short crop rotation and under continuous cropping.
