Sunflower variety Siberian-12

A variety Siberian-12 was developed in 2005-2012 by individual selection of the early maturing plants from a variety population Baloven and by directed cross-pollination of the best families at free flowering. The new variety is a variety of confectionery type. Productivity of the variety Siberian-12 is close to the standard variety Baloven, but it is differed with a shorter vegetative period and lower height of the plants. The variety is well adapted to Siberian conditions, suitable for mechanized cultivation. From 2015 the variety Siberian-12 is included into the State register of the breeding achievements of the Russian Federation, approved for production, and recommended for cultivation in the Western Siberian region. There was received a patent for the variety Siberian-12.
