The winter rapeseed variety Selegor

The winter rapeseed variety Selegor was developed in 2009-2017 by a method of multiple individual selection ad self-fertilization from the interspecies hybrid by combination ‘variety Otradnensky x variety Mokhikan'. The new variety is characterized by high productivity. The trials results of 2016-2017 showed its excess over the standard variety Loris on seed yield by 1.06 t per ha, oil yield - by 0.41 t per ha on experimental plots near Krasnodar, and by 0.44 and 0.30 t per ha, respectively, in conditions of the Armavirskaya experimental station. The variety Selegor is differed of the previous varieties by a larger amount of lateral branches, seeds number per a pod, pod length and 100 seeds weight. It is winter resistant, line variety of ‘00' type. The variety was submitted into the State Commission on variety trials in 2017.
