The winter turnip rape variety ( Brassica rapa var. oliefera biennis ) Gordeya was developed by a method of multiple individual selection from a hybrid population on a combination “spring turnip rape variety Vostochnaya x winter turnip rape No 7590” in 2004-2016. The variety Gordeya is characterized with high productivity. Due to testing results for 2013, 2014, 2016 it showed seed yield 2.82 t per ha in average for three years, oil yield - 1.27 t per ha, that is higher on 0.52 and 0.23 t per ha, respectively, compared to the standard variety Lyubava. The variety Gordeya is characterized by the bright-yellow color of seeds and low huskiness. It belongs to the varieties of a “000” type. It was submitted to the State commission on varieties trials in 2016.
