Under the conditions of forest-steppe of the Average Volga region evaluated modern varieties of peas selection of Samara Agricultural Research Institute of grain quality (protein accumulation, razvarimost taste) compared to the common variety in the region Madonna. Research has established that the variety selection Samara are characterized by a high yield of cereals at the expense of falling in an optimum grain size, good uniformity, and its spherical shape. High culinary qualities (cooking time seeds taste porridge) characterized Flagman 9, 10 and Flagman 12. The largest amount of protein in the grain accumulated flagship grade 9. Feed dignity Samara pea varieties were evaluated Orenburg Agricultural Research Institute and Samara State Agricultural Academy, which shows their high feeding value.
