Blood coagulation and fibrinolytic activity was studied for the fixator applied to the leg and transosseous osteosynthesis of the leg bones in 10 adult mongrel dogs. It was established as follows: the surgery of application of the Ilizarov fixator consisting of 4 rings and 8 wires to canine intact leg and its fixation is for a month accompanied by activity increase of the blood coagulation system and activity decrease of the fibrinolytic one. Hypercoagulation is marked in the first 3-5 days postoperatively. Blood coagulation potential is enhanced for two weeks after leg bone osteotomy at the expense of tissue thromboplastin-forming factors with activation of blood coagulation I phase and fibrinolysis inhibition more than twice. Normalization of the indices of the blood coagulation and anticoagulation systems occurs after 4 weeks.
