Condition of the hepatobiliary system in newborn children with neonatal sepsis, born to mothers who had COVID-19 during pregnancy

Purpose of the study: To study the features of damage to the hepatobiliary system in newborns with neonatal sepsis born to mothers who had COVID-19 during pregnancy. Material and methods: 64 newborn children were examined, including 34 newborns with sepsis born to mothers who had COVID-19 during pregnancy and 30 newborns with neonatal sepsis. Clinical and anamnestic, clinical and laboratory studies, ultrasound of the liver and biliary tract were carried out. Results: based on the clinical, laboratory and instrumental research methods, signs of damage to the hepatobiliary system were established in newborns with neonatal sepsis born to mothers who had suffered COVID-19 during pregnancy.
