The state and dynamics of drug crime and the opium drug market in the Russian Federation and some recommendations for drug prevention

The article is devoted to the analysis of the state and dynamics of drug crime in the Russian Federation, assessment of drugs of the opium group in the structure of the drug market based on the study of statistical data for the period 2014-2018. The authors draw attention to the fact that drug addiction is one of the most important socio-economic problems and represents a threat to the demographic, economic and social security of Russian society in the near future. Based on the analysis of the drug situation in the federal districts and in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the authors identified the most problematic regions, developed some recommendations on combating drug crime, and preventing drug addiction in the opium group.
