State and prospects of development of the labour market of the Lipetsk region under conditions of labour migration

In dynamically changing conditions, the problem of the effectiveness of labor market regulation is becoming more serious. A region’s economy and the country as a whole are dependent on its condition and development in a certain way. The formation and development of the labor market in the country has a pronounced regional differentiation, which is determined by sectoral specifics, the level of socio-economic development, the volume of illegal employment in the labor market and the size of the migration flow. The actual state of the regional labor market must be determined to identify promising development directions. Two criteria are used to analyze the labor market and its real state in the studied region according to the proposed methodology that is based on a system of indicators: state of labor conditions on the market and the impact of labor immigration on the labor market in the region. Identifying the main trends in its development and the reserves for improvement was made possible by this. Key directions for the development and improvement of the regional labor market, including labor immigration, are proposed based on the reviewed state support programs for the development of the region and the labor market, as well as the analysis of its condition.
