State and forecast of innovation activities development in Volgograd oblast

The article deals with the analysis of indicators dynamics of innovation activities in Volgograd Oblast over the period 2000-2006. On their basis the authors calculate the total development index, characterizing region's innovation activity and make its forecast up to 2010. In conclusion, the authors suggest measures to activate the innovation potential of Volgograd Oblast.
