The state and trends of ensuring food security in the sustainable development of the region (on the example of the Osh region of the Kyrgyz Republic)

This article discusses the problems and trends in ensuring food security in the region. The role and importance of food security in the sustainable development of the region are determined. The urgency of the problem of providing the population with the necessary food products has been clarified. The average annual consumption rates per capita in the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic are shown. The indicators used in assessing the food security of the region are considered. Also, based on the materials of the Osh region of the Kyrgyz Republic, an analysis of the current state of food security in the region was carried out. As a result, ways to improve the food security of the region were recommended.
