The present study focuses on a very important, but not consecrated in modern Russian scientific publications from the point of view of the possibilities of using the European experience in the agrarian sphere of economy of the Russian Federation to questions of formation and development of the production of organic food in Europe. The development of organic agriculture not only enables you to produce beneficial to human health food, but also helps to preserve environmental quality, enhance the sustainability of environmental and socio-economic development of countries and regions. The economic prosperity achieved at the expense of environmental degradation, threatens the existence of the human species, its physical and mental health and especially the health of future generations.
