State of medical work in Tomsk evacuation hospital № 3615 in 1941-1944 (based on the materials of the primary party organization)

The article deals with the activity of the evacuation hospital № 3615 functioning in Tomsk during the Great Patriotic War. Tomsk, as a strategically important medical center in the deep rear, played a key role in the organization of treatment of wounded soldiers. The hospital, opened in October 1941, faced a number of difficulties at the initial stage, including lack of equipment and specialists. However, thanks to the efforts of the medical staff, the introduction of new methods of treatment and improvements in the material and technical base, significant progress was made in surgical care, blood transfusion and other aspects of medical work.
