The state of the world oil market: changes and market of safety

The scientific article provides an overview of the state of the world oil market in the context of a viral pandemic and the implementation of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, which provoked a sharp drop in hydrocarbon prices. In the current situation, the oil sector has found itself in the conditions of the strongest upheavals. The United States has taken the line of boycotting oil supplies from the Russian Federation, some European countries are making decisions to replace Russian imports with supplies from other countries. Hence the relevance and importance of conducting an objective assessment of the functioning of the global oil and petroleum products market, identifying new vectors for its development, taking into account the change in the alignment of forces and priorities in the global economy.
