Decreased absorption functions of the small intestine is established in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients concerning fats, protein, carbohydrates that advance with the disease severity, degree of degenerate-dystrophic changes of the small intestine mucous membrane and disturbed regeneration potentialities. Direct correlations between deficiency of body weight in COPD patients and decreased absorption function of the small intestine are established concerning: protein=0,71; fats r=0,55; carbohydrates r=0,48.
