The article deals with the state of the labor market in the context of developing processes of labor migration. The impact of the labor market on the development of the economy of the region and the country as a whole. On the basis of statistical data, the state of the labor market is analyzed and trends in its development are revealed. It is established that the existing excess of the number of declared employers ' need for labor over the number of official unemployed contributes to the attraction of foreign labor.
