Russia-Iran cooperation in the nuclear field as one of the fundamental components of the economic capacity of the two countries in the modern world order

The article presents the results of the study of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation in the nuclear field as one of the fundamental components of the economic potential of the two countries in the modern world order. A general description of Iran's nuclear industry, its place in the country's energy balance, and its legal framework are given. Russia and Iran's economic prospects and risks in implementing Iran's nuclear program in the context of comprehensive sanctions on the nuclear industry of the Islamic Republic and on cooperation between the two countries in this energy area is analyzed. The conclusions of the study can be used to prepare policy briefs and reports on the global economy, energy diplomacy, and intergovernmental economic cooperation.
