Based on the analysis of the functioning of a departmental telecommunications company, it is concluded that the synergy of reengineering and digital transformation in the digital economy should dictate to the enterprise the need to change outdated business processes towards increasing automation, eliminating unnecessary elements in the management process model, reducing execution time, both the entire business process chain and individual its elements. Using the example of the business process "obtaining permission to use radio frequencies", the necessity of improving the work of the telecommunications company Gazpromneft ITO LLC through the introduction of an electronic document management system is shown.
