Improvement of the state policy in the field of environmental protection at the regional level

The article analyzes the problems of state policy in the field of environmental protection using the example of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Stavropol Territory. The activity of the Ministry in the field of implementation of control and supervisory measures is analyzed. It is concluded that the effectiveness of the implementation of state policy in the field of environmental protection should be measured not only by the number of organizations working in the field of ecology, but also by indicators of the quality of the environmental situation in the region, the level of awareness and social activity of the population in this area.
