Prohibitions and restrictions in foreign economic activity play a significant role. They are one of the most effective tools for protecting political and economic state interests when moving goods across the EAEU border. Licensing, being one of the measures of non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity, allows the state to control the volume of the commodity structure of international trade. This article discusses the features of customs control over the import and export of licensed goods. The main attention is paid to the consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of the modern procedure for customs control in respect of goods transported across the customs border of the EAEU on the basis of licenses.
