The improvement of an enterprise’s logistics functions

The study is devoted to the modern understanding of the role of logistics in the success of enterprises, as well as to a scientific approach to building logistics at an enterprise and its improvement. Therefore, the understanding of logistics strategies and algorithms for their development and implementation, the structural organization of logistics in an enterprise and a method for evaluating its effectiveness are considered. The basic logistics strategies and ways of their implementation are given in this research. Also, a particular attention is paid to assessing the effectiveness of the logistics department of an enterprise and typical indicators that can be used to do so are studied. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the optimization of logistics costs can significantly improve business efficiency. In this regard, the improvement of logistics administration in accordance with a scientific approach should be among the main tasks of enterprise managers.
