Prevention and Detection of Process Equipment Failures at Hazardous Production Facilities on the Basis Of Risk-Based Inspections

The article follows the approach to monitoring the technical condition at the stage of inspection of technological equipment. A comparison with the approximate survey approach is given. A model for determining degradation mechanisms at hazardous production facilities is described and, as an example, the important degradation mechanisms for a hydrocracking unit and the defect requirements inherent in the degradation mechanism. Criteria for grouping into corrosion contours of process equipment are formulated and implemented for a hydrocracking unit. The optimal control methods for each identifi ed degradation mechanism are given.
