The article describes the methods to relief postoperative pain in war veterans in intensive care system. It was determined that relief of postoperative pain should be started before the pain is occurred using intramuscular administration of NSAIDs (ketonal, 100 mg) immediately after admission to ICU and then on routine basis every 8-12 hours, and concomitant use of paracetamol 1 g 2-3 times a day. Relief of postoperative pain in war veterans should be carried out under compulsory monitoring of hemodynamic parameters, heart rate variability, respiration, gas exchange, and in case of opioid analgesics administration, pulse oximetry is also mandatory. Proposed tactics of pain syndrome control in war veterans improves the quality of postoperative analgesia through high level of safety and promotes early postoperative adaptation.
