This article examines the main trends in the field of training, retraining and advanced training of personnel of commercial banks; it describes the problem of unsatisfactory quality of knowledge and offers the ways of maintaining competitiveness of commercial bank. In modern conditions in the theory of management of the organizations there is an essential change of the general paradigm of management. Today the personnel are considered as the main resource of the organization which considerably defines success of all its activity. To replace the theory defining personnel as expenses which, first of all, also should be reduced the theory of management of human resources according to which the personnel represent one of the main resources of the organization which should operate, create competently optimum conditions for its development, to make necessary investments in it came.
