Improvement of motivational management in a mass media institution

This article presents the results of a study of motivational management in the editorial office of a mass media outlet. The concept of motivational management is clarified. A description of the motivational management system in a mass media institution is given. The main subsystems of motivational management are identified: worldview; organizational values; styles and patterns of behavior; norms; motivational climate. The content of the subsystems is disclosed. Specific studies of motivational management are conducted using the example of the State Budgetary Institution of the Kaluga Region "Publishing House Kaluga Gubernskie Vedomosti". The analysis of the motivational management system of the editorial office of the State Budgetary Institution of the Kaluga Region "Publishing House Kaluga Gubernskie Vedomosti" was conducted. As a result of the analysis, the main shortcomings were identified and recommendations for improving the motivational management system were substantiated. The practical significance of the study lies in the introduction of a new description of the structure of the system as applied to the study of motivational management of a mass media institution for regional editorial offices in order to improve its effectiveness.
