Improvement of research and development bases of the innovative activity of small enterprises

The article specifies the essence and the functions of small entrepreneurship, its benefits, shortcomings and innovative focuses. The features of the innovative activity of small enterprises and their constituent business models are discussed. The author justifies the need to transfer the support of small enterprises' innovative activities to the regional level, which suggests creation of a special ecosystem.
