The article discusses the need to improve the process of the training of undergraduate students for teaching practice and its organization in the modern educational environment. The authors pay attention to contradictions, basic mechanisms and conditions for improving the teaching practice of undergraduate students. The article is the first to give the reasoning of the mechanisms of teaching practice's organization using a competency-based approach.
