Improvement of legal and organizational mechanisms for social protection of various categories of sportspeople

The article deals with the problems of social protection for sportspeople. We have defined the concept of sportspeople welfare from the perspective of social protection in the sports system, and identified the means and methods of social protection in sports in general. The analysis of federal legislation in the field of social protection for sportspeople made it possible to reveal the need for "regulating the institution of sports at the legislative level". Social protection for various categories of sportspeople is not a complex system and is in the making now. The foregoing made it possible to form a complex of legal and economic regulation of sports. We have proposed some measures to improve the organizational and legal mechanisms for providing social protection to sportspeople.
