Improvement of the application of technologies of distance education in the system of Russian universities

The article discusses the main directions of development of distance educational technologies in universities. The successful experience of large Russian universities in the use of distance technologies is considered. The article also determines the feasibility of creating a monitoring center for successful practices of using distance technologies in the higher education system.
