Improvement of the demulsion process at the crude oil treatment unit

The article provides a review of the existing methods of demulsification at the crude oil preparation unit. Studies have been carried out on the practical applicability of various methods in the fields of Western Siberia. The equipment used for the effective destruction of the bonds of an oil emulsion was studied. A comparative analysis of the physical and chemical properties, demulsifier reagents used in the oil and gas industries has been made. The main advantages and disadvantages in the maintenance of oilfield equipment and the implementation of the process of demulsification of crude oil at the crude oil preparation unit have been identified. Dangerous and harmful production factors to which service personnel are exposed are revealed. Recommendations for their elimination have been developed.
