The paper represents the theoretical and practical background to the personnel assessment that is a complex and multifaceted process. It is one of the main components in dealing with the personnel of the organization which allows one to assess the job performance and the level of the professional competence, as well as to get precise information about an employee's strengths and weaknesses. The authors developed recommendations for improving the process of personnel assessment in a furniture company.
