Improvement of professionalism of a college teacher

The article describes the features of formation of teachers' level of training, which determines the quality of vocational competence of graduates. A teacher is considered as a key actor introducing innovations in the educational process, for realization of which he or she must have the necessary level of vocational competence and professionalism. The author analyzes the components of professional teaching activities (personal and activity-based). Besides, the paper reveals the content of professional competent work of college teachers.
