The article presents a methodology of application lean management system tools in organizations of oilfield equipment service. Existing approaches to improving quality management systems of organizations in oil and gas industry are considered. The reason for the choice of specific methods for improving the quality management system of one of the industry organizations taken as an example is substantiated. The choice of the structural subdivision, which serves as an example of application of such tools of lean manufacturing, as 5S and visual factory, is explained. The scheme of the main stages of subprocesses of the supporting process (associated with the storage of inventories), in the implementation of which this structural subdivision participates, is given. As a result of the work, a storage layout and a table containing scenarios of developed measures, action plans for their implementation, current state of the process (problems), current wastes and the potential effect of the implementation of measures are presented. It is concluded that this methodology of application lean management system tools may be applicable to other oilfield equipment service organizations in order to improve their quality management systems.
