Improvement of the system of selection of staff of the public service on the example of the military unit

The article is devoted to the study of the theoretical, legal and organizational foundations for the selection of civil service personnel, taking into account the peculiarities of their passage in a military unit. The author substantiates the importance of conducting a high-quality selection of personnel, characterizes such selection methods as attestation and competition, in addition, indicates the features of the selection of civil service personnel from among foreign citizens entering military service under a contract on an example (military unit 28042), revealed its shortcomings and developed recommendations for improvement.
