Development of a system of criminal legal proceedings in China

The article is devoted to the development of criminal law of China. The author analyzes the process of working out and development of a system of Criminal Procedure Code of the Chinese People’s Republic, points out its characteristic features, the special attention is paid to the acting system of evidences, rules of their application in the process of investigation and legal proceedings. The content of the latest amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of China is thoroughly considered, they are evaluated from the point of view of criminal-legal theory and practice. The article is addressed to the lawyers, practicing in the field of criminal and criminal procedure law, to everybody who is interested in the law of the Chinese People’s Republic.
