Some new formats of competitions such as sprint, team sprint, duoathlon appear for popularization and development of ski races as a kind of sport. Each new format of competitions has its features. Therefore the preparation of skiers should correspond to them. The features of technical training of skiers-sprinters are of a big interest. The perfection of technical training with account of sprint distance allows skiers-sprinters to show higher sport results.
