Improvement of technology for adjusting the chemical composition of cast iron when melting in induction crouchable furnaces

The article considers the possibilities of improving the technology of adjusting the chemical composition of cast iron during melting in induction crucible furnaces. In the process of research, the experimental results obtained from melting of gray and high-strength cast iron are described. It is concluded that in order to obtain a stable chemical composition of cast iron when melting it in an induction crucible furnace, it is necessary to adhere to the optimal order of loading the charge and use graphite-based carburizers, which are characterized by a low content of ash and impurities, with a particle size of 1.0-5.0 mm.
