Conscience in the context of the ethnocultural traditions study

The article presents an analysis of the conscience problem in the context of the study of ethno-cultural traditions and moral values of Chechen culture. The relevance of the study is due to the multiplicity and intensity of transformation processes in modern society, which directly affect the process of formation of moral and ethical priorities due to national specificity. The aim of the study is to examine conscience as an ethical category that accumulates a set of ethno-cultural values of the Chechen people. The novelty of the work lies in the fact that in this study conscience is considered in correlation with other cultural and ethical concepts reflecting the Chechens’ perception of the ideal of moral personality. In conclusion, conscience, along with other moral and ethical categories developed over many generations, is reflected in the traditional culture of the Chechen people, ensuring its sustainability in the current conditions of information globalization.
