Soviet antialcoholic policy of the 1980th (based on materials of Chelyabinsk region)

The problem of consumption of alcoholic drinks is actual now. In this article the regional option of realization of campaign for fight against alcoholism and alcoholism in Chelyabinsk region in the 1980th is analyzed. The legislation on restriction of the state turnover of alcohol is considered. In article it is noted that, alcoholism represented a serious problem for the Soviet society and the state, causing damage to health of the population, a family, society in general. But a state policy, actions of local authorities had no serious positive results. The author has come to a conclusion that the pursued antialcoholic policy was inefficient, and had ambiguous consequences.
