Soviet social sciences in 1944

The year 1944 is considered in the article as a milestone in the development of Soviet social science disciplines. After several years of relative "institutional weakness" and uncertainty, the system of ideological control and propaganda, at the top of which was the Department of Propaganda and Agitation of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b), began to restore order on the "ideological front". It is noted that "restoring order" in the social sciences was not a one-sided process, but involved the involvement of specialists and discussion of problems with them and the development of guidelines. Of course, this phenomenon of "co-creation" was unequal and was accompanied by ideological developments in a number of areas. Traditionally, past events (discussions and meetings) are considered isolated from each other, meanwhile they form a common chain that allows us to consider 1944 as a key year in the "discipline" of social sciences.
