Requirements and routes of the higher professional education's development

In the article we tried to investigate the real reasons why students decide to applyfor the universities Master’s programmes. Below we present the results of the surveythat made it possible to obtain data on the reasons for students to apply the Magis-tracy and on their expectations regarding the content of programmes, the structureof curriculums, approaches to forms and content of placement period. We madean attempt to identify and classify the risks and threats that have arisen nowadaysin the context of distance education circumstances. As a result, we came to theconclusion that the trends in the development of educational approaches basicallycorrespond to the expectations of master's programmes applicants. Nevertheless,students achieve high results only if they have motivation for professional growth.We have analyzed educational methods development, requirements to the contentand structure of Master’s degree programmes specified by the new state standards,and possibilities for the future within the current risks.
