Бесплатный доступ

The article explores the contemporary historiography of wartime childhood during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). This is a vital area of historical research, particularly in the context of preserving the memory of the home front’s contributions. Special attention is given to the works of Russian historians such as E. S. Soktoeva, E. V. Banzaraktsaeva, A. N. Balakirev, and others. Their studies examine various aspects of the lives of children and adolescents, including their labor contributions, educational activities, involvement in the Timur movement, and everyday living conditions. A common theme across all these studies is the recognition that, despite extremely harsh conditions, children and teenagers made a significant contribution to the collective Victory. The article underscores the importance of preserving the historical memory of wartime childhood as an integral part of the history of the Great Patriotic War.
