The modern development concept of ecological tourism in Russia

The article presents modern concepts and approaches to the formation of eco-tourism as a direction of social, cultural and economic activity. Systematic development of eco-tourism is necessary for the socio-economic development of the natural territories of the country's regions. Issues related to the current state of ecotourism and prospects for its development in Russia are considered. Our country has a variety of tourist and recreational reserves, many unique natural territories, natural monuments. According to the world tourism organization, Russia's natural resource and recreational potential is not enough realized for the eco-tourism development, but can make the country the leader in this direction. High hopes are placed on eco-tourism in the implementation of the concept of stable development of tourism and travel. Rational use of nat-ural and cultural and historical tourist resources will help to avoid many negative consequences of mass tourism.
