Modern historical perception of Russian society allies of the Entente

In modern domestic research on the history of Russia's foreign policy is becoming increasingly important issues associated with reflection questions diplomacy in public opinion and public consciousness. The article analyzes the work on the social perception of Russia's relations with allies in the Entente. The attention is paid to the historiography of the foreign policy views of the leaders of the liberal and conservative thought, represented in political discourse, pages nonfiction works and periodicals. Liberals and conservatives not only reflected part of public opinion, but also to a large extent, formed it. A significant range of works deals with the problem of the relationship to the allies the General population of Russia. Social perception England and France is considered by researchers both at the level of direct political, economic and military contacts, and based on an abstract image of an ally in the mass consciousness. The evolution of public perceptions of the allies was determined by the situation in the country and on the fronts, the role of foreign stereotypes. The author analyzes the relationship allied to the issue of national interests of Russia, reveals research approaches to the study of the development of Patriotic and revolutionary sentiments, traces the differences in the estimates of England and France. Work on the study of public perception of the allies of Russia in the Entente complement studies in diplomatic history and yet represent a separate research problem.
