The present-day sociodemographic characteristics of Siberian Koreans

This article is aimed to give social and demographical characteristic of Korean Russian community in Siberia in the beginning of XXI century. It reviews the dynamics of Korean population in Siberia macroregion during XX century against the background of general Korean population growth in Russia. Originally Korean migrants were mainly rural population in Russia, but they transformed into the urban ethnic group. Korean Russians mainly live in the cities in Siberia, because one of the main reason of their migration was the intention to get higher education in Siberian universities. It determined relatively high social status of Korean Russian community in Siberia.
